Yiannos Anastassiou was born in Limassol, Cyprus on the 22nd August 1952. He studied architecture in U.K. at the School of Architecture at the Canterbury College of Art. 

He worked in London and Boston U.S.A. as an architect and he is practicing architecture in Limassol, Cyprus since 1982. He has a very successful practice with 12 architects and 3 interior designers, 1 structural engineer and 2 secretaries and has designed some of the most successful projects in tourism (Le Meridien Spa, Aphrodite Golf Club, Aphrodite Spa, Azia Beach Hotel, St. Elisabeth Golf Resort e.t.c.), as well as some very exclusive private houses.

He was in the team that introduced preservation in Cyprus, as well asa founding member of the Cyprus Architects Association. He was a local municipal counselor and served in many communities’ conserning preservation, Green and welfare. He served a term on the Planning Council of Cyprus as well as on the Committee of choosing works of Art for the National Gallery for Education and Culture.

He is also the owner of a small agrotourism unit, at Psematismenos Village, Larnaca "Modus Vivendi"

Yiannos is married to Christiana and have 3 children, Sofia, Spyros and Eleni.
